HERE is a diagram to put a key switch n 12v wire diagram, note you need a 12v bat. and alt and need to modify or buy a bracket to make the alt fit right. you also might need a different size belt too. You also need a key switch and a Ford type 3 or 4 position starter solinoid.

Obtain the Delco single wire clone alternator. Only one wire to manage. No need for the diode or lamp, switch to excite the alternator.

Exchange the pulley from your generator. That way you can use the same belt.

I have 3 tractors that have been converted to the single wire alternator. The Cub is the only one that I needed to make a special bracket for mounting the alternator.

Sorry Eugene's right. I was thinking cub as I have converted allll my Farmalls to 12v n just was thinking of the cubs n needed the brackets (though you can do it with factory on them too I believe but then you gotta cut the hood so its worth getting the bracket so you save the hood)
